This week I have been……..looking at colours for the ‘Curated House Project’. Indigo and Blush are my new favourites. Funny how I always seem to colour match rooms around Art Work….. Photo montage: Large watercolour by William Littlejohn RSA, lovely pure linen bedding in blush, colour swatches in indigo and blush, shades of white in the Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint range and patchwork flying geese cushions in linen and vintage Liberty fabric….
Its the time of year to shake off the winter cobwebs and spring clean your home for the lighter days ahead. The perfect time for starting some up cycling projects, decluttering and getting ready for summer! Swap over heavier fabrics in your home with lighter, brighter fresh light colours with accents of something stronger.
Here we share some ideas to bring the outside in and freshen up your home for spring!
If you like the Botanical trend but are looking for something a bit different then why not source some free printable Botanical illustrations and group them on a feature wall. Choose from nests, coral, vegetables, florals in fact anything you like the look of.
Bring your favorite natural scene into your own space to enjoy all year round or go for a huge scale nature inspired piece of art.
Freshen up your old tired furniture and upcycle to give them a new lease of life! We love the Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint Range and with the new Farmhouse White it couldn’t be easier to quickly and easily brighten up your furniture. Recommended shades for spring are Boxwood, Dried Lavender, Eulalie’s Sky, Grain Stack, Ironstone, Marzipan, Mora, Mustard Seed Yellow, Layla’s Mint, Linen and Luckett’s Green.
With the addition of the new limited edition Lavender Furniture Wax your furniture will not only be looking but smelling good too!
We just can’t get enough of these beautiful plants. Plant up some interesting glass containers, vintage tea cups or hanging lanterns to create a succulent terrarium and bring the outside in. Why not try and make a vertical garden?
