This week I have been……..looking at colours for the ‘Curated House Project’. Indigo and Blush are my new favourites. Funny how I always seem to colour match rooms around Art Work….. Photo montage: Large watercolour by William Littlejohn RSA, lovely pure linen bedding in blush, colour swatches in indigo and blush, shades of white in the Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint range and patchwork flying geese cushions in linen and vintage Liberty fabric….
This week I have been……collecting plants for the Italian and Cottage Gardens: Hydrangea, Jasmine, Bay Trees, Lavender, Rosemary, Hollyhocks and Foxglove. Recording Riva’s beautiful and spontaneous drawings. Planning rooms in The Curated House….Painting and making patchwork covered handmade books……..
This week its been full steam ahead with The Curated House Project. I have been planting pots for my Italian Style Cottage garden using bay trees, fig trees, trailing lobelias and the tiniest delicate little pink alpine daisies I’ve ever seen. Still to organise lavenders, box hedging and the wicker edging and archways but its coming together nicely! The beautiful scent coming from the sweet jasmine is intoxicating, perfect for beside my front door! I’ve also been driving the lovely north east coast sourcing furniture and collecting some lovely paintings. The coast has been ever changing with the weather but is especially beautiful when the sun shines. A busy week!
